High Dose IV NAD+ Infusions
Why?
When we use NAD+ to help you lower or quit benzodiazepines, we maximize the effects of ketamine therapy. NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is found in every cell of your body and can decrease as much as 50% between the ages of 20 and 50. It takes part in over 100 metabolic functions and regulates mitochondrial and cellular metabolism. Mitochondria are our cells' energy powerhouses and are found in every living cell in your body. This deficiency can lead to a wide variety of degenerative conditions. Increasing NAD+ levels can reverse mitochondrial deterioration due to age and result in more proficient gene transcription, DNA repair, and gene expression. This can improve concentration, mental clarity, memory, and focus. It improves sleep and mood, increases energy and endurance, and decreases pain. Most importantly, IV NAD+ Infusion Therapy can be used to assist with benzodiazepine tapering before IV Ketamine Infusion Therapy. Benzodiazepines work against ketamine, and may diminish the results of your ketamine therapy.

THE INFUSION PROCESS
When you enter the clinic you will be provided with a comfy chair to spend your time in. You can read, listen to music, or use your laptop computer to pass the time. We will insert an IV and start the infusion, which will be adjusted to flow at the proper rate. If at any point you feel discomfort from the rate of infusion we can slow it down to reduce your discomfort. If you can handle a higher rate of infusion we can increase the rate to diminish the time that you need to spend in the infusion process.
- Please arrive on time to ensure adequate time for the infusion. Wear comfortable non-binding clothes.
- Make sure that all of your questions and concerns have been addressed.
- We will insert a small IV after numbing the area.
- We encourage you to make this process personal. If you enjoy music, please bring your device and head phones.
- Sit back in our comfortable healing space and let the process happen.
- We prefer that first-time patients book afternoon appointments so they can get the full 500 mg of NAD+ if it takes longer than 4 hours. Some people need up to 5 hours to comfortably receive the full 500 mg on their first treatment. As your body gets used to the infusion you may be able to take the full dosage in under 4 hours.
